Perfect Catch Fish Off
RULES

 

1.      ELIGIBILITY

a.     You must pre-register before fishing!

b.     Adult Division: Age 13 and above.

c.     Kids Division: Age 12 and below, Must be accompanied by a registered adult.

2.      ENTRY AND REGISTRATION

a.     Fees:               Adults: $35.00            Kids: $10.00

b.     Must register before fishing Saturday May 9, 2009 at B&K Bait House or at Marina boat ramp parking lot before fishing!

3.      TACKLE AND EQUIPMENT

a.     Rod and reel ONLY (no trot lines, jug lines, nets, or other devices can be used to catch fish at the FISH OFF.)

b.     Both live and artificial baits can be used.

4.      FISHING TIME AND WEIGH-IN

a.     FISH OFF starts at 7:00 am May 9, 2009.

b.     Weigh –In begins at 2:00 pm and ends at 4:00 pm.

c.     You must be standing in the weigh-in line with your fish before 4:00 pm or your fish will not be weighed.

5.      LAWS

a.     All State and Federal Fishing and Boating regulations must be observed at all times during the FISH OFF.

6.      FISHING RULES

a.     All fish must be caught in Foss Lake and only during FISH OFF hours.

b.     Tournament officials reserve the right to inspect any contestant’s boat or vehicle in its entirety, at any time prior to, or during the FISH OFF!

7.      POLYGRAPH TEST

a.     All winners and tournament officials will be subject to a polygraph test after the close of final weigh-in. Failure to pass such test in any way, automatically disqualifies the contestant and all winnings will be forfeited.

 

 

8.      PROTEST

a.     Any protest must be made in writing to the FISH OFF tournament officials within fifteen (15) minutes of the close of weigh-in and is to be constituted by the FISH OFF committee.

b.     Any contestant found in violation of the official rules will be disqualified and entry fee will not be refunded.

c.     The decisions of the tournament officials will be final in all instances.

9.      WEIGH-IN

a.     The weigh-in site will be in the parking lot at the marina boat ramp.

b.     Each contestant must weigh-in their own fish and sign the weigh-in entry form.

c.     Each contestant is allowed to bring 3 fish to weigh-in. The 3 fish will be weighed (regardless of species) together for the total 3 fish weight. Of these three fish, the contestant can select 1 fish for weigh-in in the applicable species category. Contestants cannot weigh individual fish in multiple categories.

d.    Please try to keep all fish alive for release after weigh-in.

e.     Frozen fish will not be weighed.

f.      Stomach contents may be checked after weigh-in when questionable.

g.    Dead fish are your responsibility and must be handled per Oklahoma fishing regulations. Do not return dead fish to the lake!

10.  PRIZES AND AWARDS

a.     FISH OFF winners will be announced approximately 30 minutes after weigh-in closes.

b.     Contestants must be present to claim prizes and awards.

c.     Only you can claim your prize or award.

d.    Ties go to the person weighing in first.

11.  DEFINITIONS

a.     Heaviest Fish Category: Heaviest weight of a single fish in that category.

b.     Special Place Category: Special place categories will be chosen by the committee and will provide special prizes at various weights. Example: winner could be 5th place in that category.

c.     Perfect Catch Category: This is a committee predetermined weight for each category and will not be revealed until weigh-in is complete.

d.    Perfect Catch Stringer: This is a committee predetermined weight for the combined 3 fish weight and will not be revealed until weigh-in is complete.
